BUILDING A NEIGHBORHOOD AND A PORTFOLIO

Borrower Stories | Pittsburgh, PA | February 2025

We’re proud to support borrowers who take on the challenge of revitalizing neighborhoods.

In our series, “Developing Stories,” read about some of these borrowers and their experiences.

Like so many Spring Garden Lending borrowers, Megha and Kapil each have two full time jobs—and real estate is only one of them. But lucky for them, their other careers also benefit their real estate business. Megha is in finance so she handles the books and Kapil is in IT, applying his meticulous organizational mind to managing construction.

For their most recent project, Megha and Kapil bought two single family properties to renovate with dual goals—to make their numbers work and to benefit the neighborhood where the houses are located. “We want to convert places into livable houses” they said.  A few months in, the two homes’ exteriors are completely re-done, and work has started on the interiors. Soon, new families will be moving in!

Spring Garden Lending financed the renovation of both projects. “We heard about Kyleigh so many ways—on the web, in Facebook groups, through references. We talked to a lot of potential lenders and it was clear that Kyleigh and Spring Garden Lending checked all the boxes. Kyleigh provides good advice and presents practical options when putting deals together. She’s an investor herself, so she speaks from experience. In addition, with Spring Garden Lending, there are no surprises or hidden fees. They provide clarity upfront on what to expect.”

When asked what’s next, Megha and Kapil agreed they want to grow their portfolio – with Spring Garden Lending!
