SPRING GARDEN LENDING EXPANDS TO COLUMBUS AND CINCINNATI MARKETS
CINCINNATI (January 2025) – Philadelphia-based Spring Garden Lending is entering the Columbus and Cincinnati metropolitan markets. The private lending group specializes in bridge and permanent loans to acquire, rehab, construct, and refinance real estate investment properties for rent or to flip in Philadelphia, Baltimore, the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) region, and Pittsburgh markets. Since 2016, Spring Garden Lending has provided over $800 million in loans to build or renovate more than $2 billion in investment real estate.
Veteran banker Omar Elhagmusa will lead the Ohio markets for Spring Garden as Senior Vice President. With over 10 years in commercial lending, Omar is well-positioned to introduce Spring Garden Lending to the local real estate developer and investor communities. Prior to joining Spring Garden Lending, Omar was the Ohio Statewide Senior Lender at IFF, a Community Development Financial Institution. Before IFF, Omar served as a Commercial Lender at Finance Fund and Small Business Lender at Huntington Bank.
Spring Garden Lending CEO, Jay Goldstein, commented, “We focus on delivering speed and certainty for experienced investors who value our market knowledge and common-sense underwriting. Our formula works in cities with strong local economies, relatively affordable housing stock for rental and for-sale properties, and vibrant neighborhoods where people like to live and work. Columbus and Cincinnati are a perfect fit.”
The President of Spring Garden Lending, Andy Rachlin, said, “We invest in real estate entrepreneurs with grit and cities with character and momentum, and Columbus and Cincinnati check all of those boxes. We’re particularly focused on financing quality housing that people can afford, which we view as both a financial investment and an investment in strong, stable neighborhoods.”
“I have been serving the Columbus and Cincinnati markets for years, and I know they will welcome a dynamic firm like Spring Garden Lending. And as an investor myself, I also know we need what Spring Garden offers—rapid, responsive access to capital and lenders who understand the value of relationships, not just transactions,” remarked Elhagmusa.
